# Dividends Update: 17 Apr 2023 (week 16)

Did you know that April is Financial Literacy Month?  With that being said, dividends are an essential aspect of financial literacy as they can provide you with additional income and can even be reinvested to grow your portfolio.

That's not all, there are 20 more companies with upcoming last trading dates from around the world. 1 European, 4 each from the United Kingdom and Australia, and 11 from the United States.

Some of the big names include Heineken NV, which has a history of paying more than once a year. Companies that have been paying dividends up to four times a year include Colgate-Palmolive Co., Dell Technology Inc, and Caterpillar Inc.

American companies like Gladstone Land Corp, Gladstone Investment Corporation, and Australian company Kelly Partners Group Holdings Ltd are also on the list - these have a history of paying monthly!

Oz Minerals, an Australian miner, will also be paying a special dividend of A$1.75 per share. In December, it entered a merger deal with BHP Lonsdale Investments Pty Limited.

Other big names that have declared dividends with upcoming last trading dates include Ferrari NV, Proctor and Gamble, and London Stock Exchange Group PLC.
